Naoya Wada

Raindrops is a pop-style work for chamber ensemble featuring three woodwinds and a marimba. The dry, percussive nature of the marimba part helps create the image of raindrops and provides a steady rhythmic backdrop for the woodwinds' melodic content. The marimba part can be performed by two players, both using two mallets, or by one player using four mallets.
Raindrops was commissioned by the Flying MIXER. It premiered on November 30, 2018.

木管三重奏とマリンバのためのポップな作品。
マリンバは雨音の表現とビートを司る役割を担い、木管三重奏が主体となって旋律を奏でていきます。
マリンバは2人の奏者が2本のマレットを用いて演奏することを想定していますが、1人の奏者が4本のマレットを用いて演奏することも可能です。

ぶっとび MIXERによる委嘱作品で、2018年11月30日に初演されました。
